Date night slumps....

So my hubby and I go out 2 times a month for a 3-6 hr date. We have done mini golf, movies, dinner, local theater, comedy club, improv comedy, and bowling. What else am I missing?! I'd love to do or try something new like a glass blowing class? We aren't into clubs or dancing much because I don't drink (I'm the odd one... being 29 and I can count all the drinks I've had in my life using just my fingers and toes lol) Sooo ideas?

Date night doesn't have to be something super new and exciting. Sometimes taking things back to basics is all you need to reignite the spark. Whenever hubby and I have hit a slump I go back to the things that made us fall in love in the first place.Maybe you can try going to a skating rink, planning a picnic, planning a scavenger hunt that leads to a special surprise at the end of the date, cooking classes, art decorating classes. Make it fun!

Hey! Do you have a Groupon for your city? Pick something and give it a try! Bonus is most things are half off. Sometimes a night in for date night isnt bad either! Challenge each other to trivia or play a board game. My hubby and I will break out the Wii and play Mario Kart for a fun night in.

I love Groupon honestly. I have found so many ideas on there for date nights. Although I'm not married, my boyfriend and I like to switch things up and try new things for date nights! We have talked about doing a cooking class, hiking trails, game nights, cooking in, going to a piano bar, wineries, breweries, the zoo, etc. Groupon is amazing.

Many of these are GREAT ideas. I also found that date night became easier when we took up dance lessons together. This provided both the date night appeal while also bringing our relationship closer. This also relieved the "pressure" of coming up with something to do - as we already had our class scheduled. A great class to take is West Coast Swing. It's fun, not difficult to learn, and provides the sex appeal that is the spark that date night should inspire. This is also especially wonderful when you are a non-drinker because West Coast Swing easily translates into modern music. In this situation, you can go into any dance club and rock the floor with this sexy dance. Who needs alcohol when your head is already spinning from the connection with your partner? Check youtube for west coast swing vids, then you can see why this dance is perfect for couples in love.
