My daughter is 6 and is kindergarten and seems to be so emotional about everything. The slightest wrong doing causes her to well up and almost hyperventilate. Just looking for some tips to helo eleveate this behavior or if this phase will pass. Thanks for any input.

I have been teaching 1st graders as a volunteer in our church and I have had the chance to see that even 1st graders can be emotional, especially in new surroundings Sometimes I think they are just tired and especially on the first days of school a bit overwhelmed. I find by doing little things even as little as saying I need a helper and picking the upset child that it usually works. It will pass I am sure. My 1st grade student last year is now in 2nd and is a totally different child. I think we have to remember that we have emotional days as well and we are adults.
