I am due with my first child in 9 days. It is both exciting and scary at the same time. Any advice is much appreciated. The thing that scares me the most is having no income for the first 6 weeks when I take off of work. How did you handle not working?

Excitement and scared are normal reactions. Be sure to have your bag ready with everything that you need. Make sure car seat is in the car. Once there remember to relax, the docs and nurses have done it hundreds of times. As for income, I don't know your financial situation but honestly for the first few weeks it'll probably be one of the last things on your mind. Good luck! You're about to have your world turned around in such a great way.
