I have a 13 years old daughter and I just noticed she got some pimples. I was thinking of getting a glycolic acid cream but even very low percentage might be too harsh for her skin. There are many choices in the market but i dont know what will be effective. Any advice please

I got my daughter biore face cleanser when she was 13. It helped for a while but her hormones went crazy and I then got her proactive. That did wonders for her but as soon as she stopped using it faithfully, it came back even worse. So she went back to using it. We also change her pillow cases every morning and pin her bangs off her forehead and she sleeps with a "bun" , she sweats when she sleeps and the oil from her hair isn't pressing on her face and that seems to help. But I also had to keep after her on not picking at her blemishes because they got so red and irritated looking, that was a battle. Good luck.

My 14 yr old daughter has acne, I took her to a dermatologist over a year ago & he recommends Neutrogena or Cetiphil. They did give her a glycolic cream, but you have to be careful. She has fair skin & if she has it on her face to go outside just for a few minutes, it turns her face so red & burns. Had to back off some of it.

This is almost common at this teenage. For this I think Doctor's suggestion must be the first priority.

My suggestion is get a cream with sulphur based. I do not want to call out the name brand but just get the cheapest one you can find and I can tell you that you will save money because as long as it is sulphur based, she will clear up fast! Try that even though it will be a bit smelly I am telling you I have tried everything just about on a few people I know with really bad acne, and it works above any dr office visit to a professional.I sometimes but rarely get a bump and as soon as I feel it, I put a dab on for over night so I can wash my face the next day, no need to wear it in the day, just do it again at night.Mine clears up almost in 24 hours.
