Strobing trend?!?!

Okay so there's this new trend called "strobing" it's the over excessive trend of ultra highlighting your face. So that means any place on your face that the sunlight hits will shine like high beams. I'm not too sure how I feel about it yet seeing that I'm a contouring fanatic. This trend would definitely not work if you have excessively oily skin. Has anyone else tried this and liked it? Let me know!

I haven't tried it either but every picture I see it just seems like too much. I think just basic highlight is enough. Of course everyone has their own opinion and if they like it on themselves then by all means go for it. I just don't think its for me

I have heard of it but have not tried it. My skin already tends to look shiny because of my skin type, I don't think I would try to have my skin shiny on purpose.

I don't do a full-on true strobing effect, but I do love to add a little highlight to my cheekbones, inner eye, and the bridge of my nose. My skin tends to be a little drier, and I am on the pale side, so I feel like this is a better natural look for me to wake up my skin and get it glowing, without having the more unnatural look of a full contour for everyday makeup. I typically use the Mary-Loumanizer from The Balm Cosmetics and I love it!

A beauty junkie I am, but this trend just isn't for me...at least not on a daily basis. I so understand for a photo shoot or something of that nature, but all the extra contouring and such just for day to day makeup application is just a bit much for me.
