I'm a Thrift Store Fashionista

I am constantly amazed by how my fashion game has been elevated by shopping at the Goodwill. Mall shopping has become uninspired for me as of the last several years. I may grab a piece or two here and there, but my go-to spot for one of a kind fashion is the Goodwill! Check out these fabulous blogs to see what a little thrifting can do: http://www.thriftanistainthecity.com http://thriftandshout.blogspot.com Do you thrift? Where? Know of any thrifting blogs/resources?

I have seen some very interesting items when thrifting. With a little imagination a day at the thrift store can produce some trendy items for you and your home. Many charities have rresale stores. I don't see many thrifting blogs. Happy Shopping.

Im personally one who prefers to shop at a store for new clothes because it is very hard for me to find jeans that suit my figure and flatter my shape. Every now and then I do find amazing blouses and jewelry in a thrift store. Most of my dressy blouses come from a thrift store, I always get compliments and questions where I got it from. It doesn't really matter what your preference its all about what works for you.

Yes....I think it is the thrill of finding something( most times you really don't know what you will find) you would consider buying. I do allot of socializing also as others will make suggestions and even give me their items on occasion. Sometimes I try to help others complete their shopping. We " regulars" look for each other.

It has been years since I've done any real shopping at the mall! I only go there if I am looking for something in particular. Other than that I am always going to second hand stores. For clothing, my favorite stores to go to would have to be Plato's closet, Salvation Army and Goodwill. There are a couple second hand stores that are from where I live that are my absolute favorite to go to when looking for furniture as well as decor. One of them is called Weezie's Cove. A friend of mine was killed in her home, and her family created Weezie's Cove in her name because she always wanted to have her own shop, and they called it Weezie's because that was a child nickname for her because of allergies. There are beautiful pictures of her all over the store, and they have various donation buckets that go towards the girl's favorite causes. They carry everything household. Kitchen stuff, movies, cd's, decor for any room, even some beauty products and tons of candles and vases etc.

I just really love that feeling you get when you find something that you didn't expect, but have always wanted, or you just see something and you just know you have to have it! And @Shellysweetheart19 I totally hear you about buying clothes brand new(especially pants)usually with second hand stores there is only one size of whatever brand. I also have issues in the finding the right jeans for me department! I've found that Burlington Coat Factory has been a good place for jeans for me. They carry brands I otherwise would not be able to afford, and they end up only being $20 tops! (usually). I like this because I get a wider selection to find the "jeans for me" because normally I wouldn't even be able to afford the majority of the jeans that I have bought from there. Last time I was there I got a pair of DKNY jeans for $14! I think it said retail price was like $66? Maybe more I can't remember. But they fit great, and I never would have even tried them on if they had cost $66 or more!

I am a garage sale Diva! Saturday mornings find me out early looking for fashion as well as bargains. It has been at least 15 years since I went shopping for clothes yet still get many compliments on my fashionable style.

I have always shopped at thrift stores, do not see the need to spend $200 on a pair of jeans you may only fit into for a few months!

As long as you have the time to spend looking, thrift store shopping can cause you to find the neatest things you can't find anywhere else! It's just a time commitment, but worth it!

Especially the fancier neighborhood thrift stores! Gucci for $50! Crazyness!
