Do not pick!! No. 1. Cut down on sugar intake and use a very gentle moisturizer without harsh chemicals, preferably organic. Use 10% Benzyl peroxide face wash in shower 1 to 3 times per week. Use very little makeup. See results in 2 weeks or less. If you do nothing else, be sure to not touch any acne. Just touching it spreads the issue and creates more acne. I use a clarisonic face tool and I saw tremendous results with it in combo with bp. I've consulted with several dermatologists.

I am really bad about touching my face when I have acne. But I try my hardest not to touch it but it's hard! I use the Clarisonic face tool as well. Love it!

Don't touch it! If you've tried everything else, try a Clarisonic, I love mine and it does seem to make a difference. As far as covering it, try a green corrector to cancel the redness, then cover with a thicker concealer such as MAC Studio concealer or Makeup Forever full cover concealer.

The best is Almay's concealer with Salicylic Acid in it. I put it on my blemishes under my foundation and LOVE IT! Would not be without this product and always keep one or two in my drawer.

There is a Burt's Bee's roll-on for acne. It helps the lone blemishes so well!

No STOP!! You don't need acid you don't need harsh dermatologist treatments you don't need any of that. I have struggled with acne on my skin since I was 15. Today I am 22 and can tell you my skin has never since I could remember looked better. I spend hundreds of dollars on harsh treatments and visits to random dermatologists that would only hurt my skin. If you have bad acne and cannot get rid of it with anything out there. I recommend some pills, these where given to me or prescribed to me by a doctor in Ameca, Jalisco. But can be found anywhere in the Mexican Republic. They are called NEOTREX. The dermatologist was very encouraging and assured me acne was an internal infection and that no cream or surface treatment would help like these. You can google them and maybe try to find a replica here in U.S. if u don't go to Mexico. You are NOT to get pregnant or drink alcohol while taking these. Normally you take one pill before bedtime, one day yes and one day no.you will not regret it!

Covering up acne is a last resort only in a dire situation and it should only be very temporary, like for an important occasion. I have suffered from acne back in college. Having no budget for a dermatologist, I can only rely on changing my diet, washing my face with gentle soap and water, and frequently changing my pillowcases and towels. There was this soap I remember using, it's called Perla white. It worked well in drying my acne. It is coconut based.
