WHITE HEADS!

Ladies! Oh my. Is there such a thing called white heads? If there is. I have plenty of them. I hate wearing makeup because no matter what I do I don't get that smooth face. I know the majority of it has to do with my acne. Which putting on more makeup and the stress this month has been making it worse. But I seriously hate taking pictures! I'm 21, and I don't go out because of all this insecurities. Redness of the face, bumps, acne scars, acne, I should probably just go to a dermatologist, and get it checked out but my insurance doesn't kick in for another two months. Is there natural ways to help reduce any of this? I hope you guys have a very blessed day! Take care. Thank you in advance. :)

Try using a Matte makeup- I really love L'Oreal's Magic Smooth Souffle', L'Oreal Matte Morphose, L'Oreal Or Maybelline's Dream Matte Mouse is pretty good as well. I get white heads on my chin and when I use these Matte Mouse formulas, I get a satiny smooth finish- which I LOVE! I use L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base as my primer, then apply one of the above, and the powder my face to set with a translucent mattifyiing powder. It works very well! You should have super smooth makeup when your finished!

Use natural products only. If you want a makeup line, I suggest Bare Minerals. It costs a little more, but lasts a super long, long time. My skin is very sensitive and I had this problem until I ditched the chemical makeup. Also, you could try Physicians Formula brand. That is cheaper and sold at places like Walmart, Target, etc.To treat the acne, go to Walgreens or CVS and get tea tree oil. Dab it on lightly at night. Good luck!

My thing that REALLY helped me is a baking soda and water mixture... to where it's like a thick paste but thin enough to spread around. This helps reduce redness and doesn't irritate with harsh chemicals. Apply mixture once in the evening right before bed. Lightly rub it all over your face and rinse with cool/luke warm water. And do NOT wear any make up for a week! Only lipstick and eye wear. Use the baking soda mixture as I said above and no make up for one week and you'll see fantastic results!!! Good luck!

I forgot to mention that after the 7 days your face should be looking better but if you want better results...go another 3 or 4 days. THEN start wearing light make up foundation for no more than 3 hrs a day and use a LIGHT facial cleanser (go to sephora and let them know what type of cleanser you are looking for and they will give you a free sample to 2 to try...find what works for you and get it!) And be sure to use the baking soda every night to help keep the redness away. There are also other "at home" facial cleanser recipes you can goodle BUT don't add any course ingredients like sugar. And DON'T dig at your white heads.... it'll make them worse. Instead use those biore strips RIGHT as you get out of the shower while your pores are open. Use the strips once a week..no more frequently. I use the nose strips on my nose and my chin :)

I too have the same problem. I actually came here looking for advice and suggestions. Im 43 and have had really oily skin my entire life. I used to get picked on in school because of it. I have tried everything I can afford but nothing seemed to help. I wash my face every morning and every night and I kid you not 10 minutes later my face is oily again as if I haven't washed in days :-( i get those tiny little white bumps all over my face and no matter what I do it won't go away. Im at wits end because I really shouldn't have to deal with this at my age. Any suggestions? Anyone else have the same problem? What have you tried? Did it work? Im going crazy... And broke lol!

Some natural things you can do: Make an oatmeal facial mask: mix plain oatmeal with very warm water, stir until it is thick enough to put on your face (do this over a sink, it's messy) then let it dry (about 5-10 mins); then, go back to the sink and rinse it off with warm water, follow by washing with a good soap, like tea tree soap, (Tea Tree Therapy soap is one I like), then pat dry. Some people will use plain (original) Milk of Magnesia as a face mask, spreading it on, letting it dry, and rinsing off with cool-ish water. A good natural astringent is witch hazel, (Dickenson's is great) and non-irritating enough to use as often as you wish. The facial masks, you can do those 2 or 3 times a week. Try to drink more water, as this can help keep the toxins coming through your pores from being too concentrated. Clean and Clear makes a great facial "moisturizer" that actually helps to fight acne without overdrying your skin that can be worn as a protective layer under your foundation :)

My absolute favorite thing to do for white heads OR black heads is baking soda! I make a paste of water and baking soda and apply to all the areas, leave the paste on for 10-20 minutes, apply water and kind of "scrub." After you have washed it off, apply some peroxide where you had applied it. It sounds harsh, but it really isn't! I've suffered with both almost my whole life, and this was the only thing that would cure them after spending tons of money on dermatologist's prescriptions and drugstore brands, this is my holy grail now! Good luck, and I really hope this works for you! :)
