Brand Name vs. Brand Less

Hello! I'm curious to read your opinions on shopping habits when it comes to accessories. For example, are you attracted to the design of a purse or the brand that is attached to it? I realize that all items have brands but some are just more influential than others. What's your take? Kindly, Keesha

Hi Keesha! I lean more towards what I know I can afford. In my opinion I would rather have 20 different items that I can switch around to go with my outfits. I am not in to the popular brand names not only because they are too costly but because they just are not my style. What is the point in walking around with a five hundred dollar handbag when I can take that money and enjoy it on outings with my family or buy necessities. I love shopping and I love jewelery and accessories and I always try to find the best deals and steals when I can. You can find a lot of great stuff and within your budget.

I feel the same way! I absolutely love to accessorize my outfits with playful and fun looking pieces. One of the rebuttals I often get however is the quality of the materials and I can't refute that fact. the zippers of my purses will give out within a few months or the material will start falling out. Is it really impossible to find quality products at a reasonable price?

I find that you really get what you pay for when it comes to clothes and accessories. My favorite store is Ann Taylor. I worked part time awhile just for the 50% discount. I also love Bannana and J Crew, when some of the new pieces come out and there isnt a good instore sell I just check ebay. They usually have a suprisingly large selection of pieces that are in stores now in the new collections for some times more then half off the retail price or if you wait a bit you can get real steals on ebay.

When I shop I shop for what I like, not for a brand. If I happen to fall in love with an item and it is a certain, more influential brand, then fine, so be it. I do not shop with the intent to only look at bags of a higher viewed label. If I love a 10 dollar bag I find at some random store, awesome, but if I fall in love with a more expensive bag from a high fashion rertailer, that's okay too, because I know whichever I end up buying, I bout because I loved it, not because of the label.

I buy what I like; plain and simple! My only rule is to make sure it's good quality and good value for my money.

I have found that the value of brand-less items is often way above those with prestigious brand names. There are such things as investment pieces that I value high-quality materials, such as bags or shoes, that can last a lifetime if you spend a bit more money on brand name items. Other than that, most items are comparable, and I'd rather have 20 of something than 1 :)

I choose usually buy accessories that look great with my outfits regardless of the brand. However, I do make sure that the pieces are of a good quality.

It depends on what the item is but I prefer brand names;they are usually better quality and anything I want to last-like a handbag or a watch-I would only buy a brand name
