Hello Ladies, I need some help or advice on some good lip balm, chap stick and some really good lotion or body cream. I recently moved to Albuquerque, NM. And boy oh boy... this weather is terrible on my skin! I've never had such dry skin in my life. I have been trying so many different products but nothing seems to be helping me. Any advice or know of any good non greasy products that I can use? Any tip's would be helpful :o) Thank you!

i understand your pain...i suffer the same when its COLD as heck in NY. I use EOS lip balm (so smooth and not greasy). with body cream? i try to find anything that has Shea Butter in it since my skin gets dry so fast and sometimes cracks! mostly get them from "the body shop" i think they have great lotions and creams, but i only go when they have a nice little sale, sometimes you can grab a few to stock up and get free bottle or something. good luck.

I have the same issue. I like the St. Ives line for lotion and Bert's Bees Wax for lips.

Thank You Ladies, for your input! I feel so desperate to try anything I just went to CVS and found EOS lip balm, I had never heard of it before. And I intend on going to the body shop to check out their products. Thanks a million! :o)

I know this is going to sound crazy, but before I go to be I put Vaseline on my lips and sleep with it on, then lip gloss from the body shop during the day. If your hands are terribly dry, try sleeping one night with vaseline on them (with baggies over your hands) and wash off in the morning. Then use the lotion you choose from then on. The vaseline will give you a moisture infusion.

The absolute best product I've found is called Yu-Be. It's a Japanese line that you can buy online either directly from them (yu-be.com) or on Sephora.com. It's pricey, but you can get free samples from their website (you do have to pay for shipping though). I don't know what makes it work, but it's amazing. I just ran out and need to order more, and even though it's expensive, I think it's so worth it. You can use it on both your lips and body which is nice, and they do have a lip balm, but I just use the lotion for everything. Alternatively, Carmex is great (my son swears by it) and they just came out with a new body line that is reasonably priced, but hard to find. It's the next best thing to Yu-be and much less expensive.

for lip balm, I use burts bees. It's not perfect but it's the best I've found. As for skin care, Ive tried all kinds but Gold Bond ultimate healing with aloe is the best lotion I have found, and it's pretty cheap.. It's $5 at walmart. It even worked for people whose hands were dry and cracked to the point of bleeding.

Have u tried Hempz Herbal Moisturizer??? It's super creamy and very very hydrating. I use it everyday during the winter an then I switch it up with jergens for the summer. Hempz absorbs really nicely into your skin and doesn't leave it feeling greasy and slick. It's a little bit on the expensive side but I believe it's well worth the cost. Hope this helps:-)

The doctors in my area recommend and keep big baskets of samples on hand they like it so much, especially for diabetic patients or extremely dry lips and skin, Aquaphor Healing Ointment . (Use the little tubes for lips)

I use Rosebud salve from Sephora and Aveeno lotions. For extra moisture I add some almond oil in my body creams. You exfoliate your skin to help the moisturizers and lip balms work better. You could make your own scrubs at home! Good luck!!
