I want to try a less expensive makeup. I was wondering what other people use and what they think works better? I am just tired of spending tons of money on my makeup every month. I want to see if there really is a difference.

I mostly use Avon. Their products are great and they are usually pretty inexpensive. Clinique also has great makeup, but they are a little more expensive.

You can try maybelline mascaras they are really good and really inexpensive. Revlon have good makeup too and you can find then every where and you don't have to break the bank in order to get it.

Just like you I splurge alot when it comes to my makeup but, i have to admit i love covergirl and their stuff is really inexpensive. When it comes to blush i love the CG selection and it works great. CG also has a really good concealer, its called CG Smoothers which i use and love. Since it comes in a stick use a sponge to put it on. When looking for mascara i think Maybelline has the best mascaras ever! Depending on if you have long lashes or short lashes they have a large variety. If you're looking for powder CG has the best powder and to be honest it works just like any other. But when it comes to foundation I have to admit i dont think i will ever steer away from MAC, ive been using it for years and it works best. Hope this information helps.

OK this may not be expensive to every but I find that it last for about 6 months for me....Bare Escentuals foundation is great. does not clog pores and applied correctly will cove most issues. it is $25.00. Again I think it is less expensive because it last a long time and does a great job.

I have use ELF Cosmetics. They are very inexpensive and I have been happy with most everything I have tried. Most things are $1, their mineral line is $5. They are available online at www.eyeslipsface.com I think they are worth a try, they are so inexpensive that you do not have a lot to lose. If you sign up to recieve their e-mails they always have specials. It's worth taking a look at them.

I too like some of the avon but its hard to choose colors online. L Oreal, Revlon, Covergirl and Maybelene are good too plus these go on sale and have coupons.

As for black eyeliner, I have used Wet n' Wild and NYC eye pencils since I was in high school. You can't beat the price of $.99, and the pencil is at least twice as long as more expensive ones. If you prefer pencils with self-sharpeners, I'd recommend Prestige. They go on cleanly , smoothly, and no sharpener required! As for drugstore lipstick/gloss, I honestly prefer Maybelline. They don't have the same weird smell/taste that I find Loreal and Revlon do. Maybelline has a huge shade variety. Plus, you'll find that they go on sale for Buy 1, Get 1 free on a pretty regular basis and the brand regularly puts out coupons, thus creating even better deals. I agree with another poster about Avon. I love their shade variety in everything: lipstick, shadow, etc, but I do understand the drawback of not being able to see the shades in person. Though I must admit, I've never been disappointed. I recommend doing the 1st order w/ a rep, because the order book has decent pics of shades. HTH

for cheap makeup, use loreal! its more higher end drugstore brand, so its not $1, but on a good sale, its cheap! i generally like everything loreal has to offer!
