I usually discuss the election with my husband because we are both very interested in it. He's so busy at work that sometimes he misses out on a few news stories and I like to update him when he gets home. My young children also see the candidates on the news or on TV ads and ask questions about who these people are so I try to explain to them in ways they can understand what's going on.

Outside my home my discussion is muted because I feel like nobody wants to listen anymore and just want to convince you of their opinion.

I don't discuss it but not a lot. When we do, we each state our opinions and it's in a civilized matter. It's more of a discussion. We usually do this over family time or when we are out eating or on our way to somewhere.

We discuss politics a lot at home and with friends. We are a mix of political parties at home but with international family members and military family members we are pretty open minded.

I only discuss politics with people that respect what I have to say, and let me tell you it is a small group. There are maybe only 2-3 people that I feel comfortable sharing my viewpoints with.
