I am seeing ads suggesting new therapies, including acupuncture, biometrics and thermal images. Has anyone tried these or other alternative treatments?

I have heard acupuncture is great for pain. Personally I never had it done but heard great things about it. This is something I wanted to do because I get really bad migraines and my period pain hurts so much. They are safe, little to no side effects, helps control pain, and it is better than some pain medications. Other details such as: you many feel stinging and tingling sensations, they may heat the needles (depending on where you), the needle can stay in anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, and it depends on how much pain you are in you may have to go to one to two session a week. It may take 8 to 12 treatments for it to start to work.
