Hello, I am a 23 year old female. I have oily skin and many blackheads. Can anybody tell me how to remove blackheads? What is the best way? Thank you for the help.

You may want to try an exfoliating mask, good luck !

I have the same problem as you and tried almost everything myself. i even bought one of those black head extractors, but they don't work well! the best thing i found so far is after a shower, put on a pore strip and after you take it off, exfoliate with a scrub and use a toner or clarifying lotion to close some of the pores. so much work, but i have noticed a difference. my skin glows more and has less black heads. if only i can make them all disappear though... :( good luck!

Pore strips can sometimes be really drying - don't laugh when I suggest this, but Elmer's glue, or white school glue, works just as well. Put it on, let it dry, peel or roll it off. Also, check the ingrediants in your facial products, don't use anything with "oil" in it, whether it be sesame, olive, mineral, whatever... oil is oil and oil clogs pores. Just take care of your skin too - wash make-up off at night and clean it twice a day religiously. Don't overpower your skin by trying too many products, that'll mess you up too. Neutrogena has some great natural and oil-free products (the Naturals smell WONDERFUL!) they are gentle but effective and you can feel them working after you wash. Hope this helps!

I use the products from the company that I work for! It's great. Whole set of stuff for $20. :) Let me know if you are interested and we can go from there. We are actually hiring right now as well. It's work from home for a Wellness/Organic company that has been in business for 28 years. Thanks!

Which products/methods will work for you really will depend on your skin. Generally, semi-regular exfoliation will keep blackheads from forming. Of course you must be careful not to exfoliate too often or too hard, because then your skin will become sensitive and start to produce more oil, thus contributing to new blackheads. Mechanical exfoluation isn't the only kind- you could try swiping diluted lemon juice across your face (but be sure to rinse it off after leaving it on for several minutes). If you're desperate then the best thing is to see a dermatologist, which won't be cheap. For my skin I have found that keeping my face moisturized helps a lot- when your skin has enough moisture on/in it, it will not produce as much pore-clogging natural oil (oil that just sits and waits to glue together dead skin cells and form a blackhead. Also take stock of any makeup products you use and try to determine whether they could be contributing to the issue. Good luck!
