Lately I've been finding a ton of inspiration on Pinterest for DIY Christmas projects - which I'm featuring on The Mommyhood Project! Do you use PInterest for project inspiration? Have any great suggestions for projects I should feature?

I wish I would have gotten on here before I did, I have tons of DIY Christmas projects! I have started to use Pinterest for inspiration, mostly when it comes to kids projects. Right now I'm looking for St. Patrick's Day and Easter crafts for the kids to do so most of what I find on Pinterest has to be modified to fit their ages. If you're ever looking for more projects let me know. In addition to my own, I have a number of creative friends I'd love to give shout-outs to! I'm at www.myveryeducatedmother.com

Pinterest is great! It gives me awesome ideas for everything from recipes to kids projects! Recently I did my kids painted footprints for Halloween... One I did in a candy corn pattern and another to look like Frankenstein! I'm sure the same could be done with a footprint and a little Santa. With red paint on the majority of the foot and white at the heel... One stamped flip upside down and add a pompon for the top of the hat, etc! I have also made a SUPER easy Christmas stocking out of one of my husbands old sweaters. Turned it inside out and drew out the pattern, sewed where the lines were then cut out and flipped right side out! The hem of the sweater was the top of the sock. Literally a 5 minute project and so cute!

I love pinterest! You can turn beer bottles into cups. I found quite a few projects with sewing. I love making my own satchets. I sew up little squares (i even made shapes from some like a heart and a moon) mix some rice peppermint extract and cinnamon and put it inside. I also have a rosemary and sage smelling one in my undies drawer.

Pinterest has a ton of a great ideas for everything! I love finding new tutorials and ideas to try. I have found good crochet patterns, ideas for sewing, and even ideas for how to use old knitting needles. Sometimes it is just easy to flip through pinterest to find some inspiration for a craft or new uses for old items!

I always go to Pinterest to create a visual representation of my goal. I am currently planning a bridal shower that focuses on the theme of succulents. I found a tutorial that specifies how to create felt succulents that I made for corsages and to add to the bridal gifts.
