Does anybody suffer from dry patches all year 'round? What works for you? Certain brands? Specific products? lotions or body wash?

I have a large red dry itchy spot on my back I can't put moisture on by myself. It is really uncomfortable. I have tried several products and I'm not getting sufficient relief. I've tried Burts Bees salve from the little pot, Eucerin, Jergens coconut lotion, coconut oil, .............I can't get rid of this itchy large spot on my back.. I need something that can deliver a relief ...........suggestions

To answer the question better............yes I do have dry patches year round but so much worse at this time.....winter dry cold weather is bad news for my skin. Usually coconut oil feels very good. I use a moisturizing bar soap or bath liquid soap. I think using a gentle soap is important.....I can't use just any soap because I need the moisture help.

I try to exfoliate all over especially the dry patches and while it is still damp I rub in coconut oil or any kind of oil really then seal that up with a thick moisturizer

Coconut oil, Ora's amazing herbal face oil, and josie maran body butter. I use a mix depending on how bad and where on my body.

I use coconut oil very liberally and love the light scent. It is good for moisturizer on the body.

For the dry skin on my back I use a spray body oil and a spray lotion after shower/bath there's several on the market for all levels of dryness the spray form comes in handy since these areas are hard to reach.

Exfoliating and moisturizing is KEY ! I exfoliate with a lemon sugar scrub 2x a week and every morning and before bed i apply a facial/body oil and my skin soaks it all up. Try it, you'll immediately notice the difference. You can use any sugar scrub and any oil its all personal preference, theres so many choices to pick from!!

I find Aveno products very good. Also, I use Oil of Olay in-shower moisturizer. You 'apply in the shower and then rinse off and pat dry. It has a very lite scent. I tried Jergen's in-shower also. I found this to be very slippery and a heavy scent. Also, if you have sensative skin, the "Simple" products are very good
