Do you tell friends and family who you are voting for? How do you feel when a friend or family member tells you they are voting for a different candidate? What have you said or done?

Everyone who participates in one of our presidential politics discussions will be entered for the chance to win one of four $25 Visa gift cards. Giveaway is open through October 9th, 2016 to U.S. residents at least 18 years of age.

Family and friends know how I feel and who I am voting for. I do have family members and friends who are voting the other side and are very passionate/hate the other political party. But honestly those are not that close friends or family. I stay calm when they say they are voting for the other side and show them that both sides are doing similar actions.

I feel that it is a personal matter and ask people not to share with me who they are voting for.

My family and close friends know who I'm voting for, and I think my opinions have made it clear who I am supporting to my acquaintances. When I learn that someone supports the other candidate, I ask them to tell me why...because I don't really understand (but I'm trying to...).

I will tell friends and family who I'm voting for. We are pretty much in agreement.

I do tell people who I am voting for, if they're voting for the other candidate, I like to hear the reasons for their choice.

I do not generally tell people who I'm voting for. In this particular election, if a friend or family member tells me they are voting for the opposite candidate, however, my opinion of them falls and I lose respect for them.

My close friends, know that I am a Trump deplorable! Except I am not racist, college educated and not against gays.

No but I'm pretty sure they already know who I am voting for. I don't feel any way if someone tells me they are voting for the opposing candidate that I am voting for because that is their choice. I tell them that I am happy that they are even voting because many people don't utilize their right to vote

My daughter will be voting for the first time this election. She and I differ in our choice for President. This is OK with me. She can make her own choice! It is our right to do so!
