What are some plus size stores?

I have a daughter who is going to be a junior in high school. She is about 3X or 18. Because I have other children going back to school and am a single parent, I can't afford expensive clothes like from Torrid or Alloy. I feel terrible because she is so beautiful and deserves to wear anything her heart desires, but I just don't have the money. What are some plus size stores that I will be able to get her what she wants and not have to worry about prices?

There are lovely items at very reasonable prices at Avenue.com. If you have a local store of theirs, the sale racks are a Dream! I've often gotten 4 or 5 sweaters and a pair of pants for the winter for about $100. And they have cute shoes, depending on her size.

Old Navy has plus sizes online. They are not very expensive and they always have lots of nice clothes on clearance. Plus, if you shop the sales, you can often get free shipping. I also shop at Lane Bryant and Avenue, but they are a little more pricey. I love shopping clearance racks at Target. They usually have nice things for as low as $3. Good luck!

Hi Old Navy sells plus sizes, they are only available on-line but do offer free shipping often. Jcpenney is also great for plus sizes and if you order online they always have free shipping deals

I agree with the Fashion Bug comment. They are the same clothing store as Lane Bryant and Catherines now and they have phenominal sales. I at all times have at least 2 $10 off $25 coupons. It's a little less quality (think Fashion Bug is to Lane Bryant as Old Navy is to Gap). But I recommend it.

I wear plus size tops because I am a DD. I wear a size 10-12 in jeans, skirts, etc. If you shop online, try Woman Within, Roaman's, Avenue, or One Stop Plus, which is the outlet for all of the plus size stores. I bargain shop sales only. I have picked up some great buys. They even have shoes. I need a Wide width because of a bunion. I get great sale prices on cute shoes, athletic shoes and sandals. Good luck to you and your daughter.

Cato is a great store and the prices are very, very low. Cute and sassy shoes for under $20. They always have good sales too.

I see this is an old request for information but I would like to make some recommendations in case anyone wondering the same thing may stroll in. I am a size 18 and I do most of my shopping online. Some of my favorites are Torrid.com, bandlu.com, elloqui.com (which is a sister of The Limited), and alight.com to name a few. If I am pavement pounding shopping, I find a lot at TJ Maxx, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, and Cato. I hope this helps someone out :)
