Has She Speaks ever evaluated the weight loss programs out there. I am about to start on a plan...does anyone have any suggestions as to which one they think is the best?

My son and I recently started doing the WII Fit Plus and it's so much fun that you don't know you're exercising. They even have a hula-hooping exercise (no hula hoop, just swiveling your hips around like a maniac) that is a blast. Along with the Just Dance games, we're having a great time and getting healthier each time. I know a WII is expensive, so another alternative we used was the free exercise segments on demand through the cable service. Also, the library has a ton of exercise tapes for free. I'm dying to try Zumba, but I'm so clumsy!

I think Weight Watchers is a good bet. If I follow the program and track, track, track, I always lose weight.

Weight Watchers all the way! I am a life time member. They are truly amazing. You eat regular food and they teach you to change your lifestyle so it's not some weird fad where you entirely change what you eat while you're trying to loose weight and then you gain it all back when you stop.

I totally agree - Weight Watchers is a great program. You can eat foods that are easy to find & cook and it gives great tips on restaurant eating as well. Plus, if you work out, you can eat more - and with good planning you won't be hungry.

I'm currently working out with a trainer in my area. I'm taking vitamins & attempting to drink at least three 16oz water bottles a day. I know I need more, but I'm working on it. more fruits & salads as well. no fried foods, sodas or sweets. If I need to sweeten anything, I use all natural products such as Agave sweetener (more for your money when bought through Amazon.com), Florida sugar (sold at Walmart in a clear plastic container), or pure honey from local farmers. I've found in my research that heated honey breaks down the enzymes in ones liver over time. White sugar, white flour, white breads, etc, cause cancer. And drinking Oolong tea from the health food store, because this tea causes your body to burn it's own fats. No eating after 6pm for me. I try to remember to drink the tea with my meals because a warm drink with a meal (even room temp water) allows your foods to digest better.

Good for you, @Larafaye21! I am dancing the weight off, too... and I've lost 25 lbs and kept them off for a whole year now. Zumba is incredibly fun and challenging. I recommend a class for sure!

I lost 47 pounds with Weight Watchers 3 and half years ago and I haven't regained it. It really is a lifestyle choice that works for me.
