SheSpeaks CEO Featured Panel Speaker at Forbes Leadership Networks Forum

New York, NY – Aliza Freud, Founder and CEO of SheSpeaks, a national network of over 40,000 women who share their feedback and influence products, services and issues on the world around them, is scheduled to speak at the Forbes Leadership Networks Forum in Chicago on Thursday, November 1. The forum explores the most pressing issues faced by businesses today and what leaders should be thinking about for tomorrow. SheSpeaks’ inclusion is indicative of the voice they have given women in the product marketing arena and the important social networking community that SheSpeaks facilitates for its members.

Through panel discussions and workshops, the Forbes Leadership Networks Forum will cover topics including: The ‘how’ of innovation, America’s Place in the 21st Century and Social Networks: The new holy grail. Freud will be featured on the Social Networking panel along with representatives from Forbes magazine, Weber Shandwick and BabyCenter LLC, where they will explore the effect that Social Networks like MySpace, YouTube and LinkedIn have had on business and innovation.

“Understanding that social networks are bringing people together in new, meaningful ways and significantly changing the way people make decisions is vital when doing business today,” said Ms. Freud, who founded SheSpeaks on the principle that women needed a community where they could come together, connect with other women and see the power of their voices in action. “At SheSpeaks, the women’s connection with one another is real and intimate – they connect online to discuss topics of concern to them including children, relationships, money and work. We tap into this vibrant community to help our clients better understand their target audience and build brand advocates as our members talk about products they are testing, share their opinions and recommend products they love. Our clients benefit from hearing the collective voice of our members”.

Before founding SheSpeaks in February 2007, Ms. Freud spent more than 10 years in marketing and product management for the American Express Company, where she most recently led worldwide brand initiatives in the company’s Global Marketing group. Ms. Freud holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and serves on the board of Step Up Women’s Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of female philanthropists.

The Forbes Leadership Networks Forum will be held on November 1st at The Metropolitan Club in Chicago. For more information about the event, please visit forbesconferences.com. For additional information on SheSpeaks, please visit www.shespeaks.com.
