Homeschooling has made our back to school time less stressful!
Have lunch ready the night before and clothes picked out to make for a smoother and more efficient morning
Preparing a weekly schedule/meal plan helps to make things run smoother. I do this on Sundays for the week on an erasable marker board.
I have my kids pack their lunches, pick their clothes the day before and pack their book bags the day before. Makes for smoother mornings!
I portion out all the snacks, fruits and veggies for my kids lunches for the whole week on Sunday so it's just grab and go!!
Always try to start early!! Last year the teachers sent home a supply list for the new school year so we could be prepared ahead of time and get things here and there... Of course we didn't but it would have made things so much easier!
We do weekly plans for helping staying organized.
Make sure your kids go to bed early!
The scented markers take me back to when I was in elementary school. I definitely will be getting a few packs of these for my girls!
I try to make it fun to go back to school and involve the kids in getting ready as much as possible. I let them pick out their supplies by themselves within reason and then go out for lunch and talk about the upcoming year and how exciting it will be
Getting shopping done early.
I have my son show me all the supplies he already has that's on the list and then I go and purchase whatever we are missing so I don't double buy everything.
Buying in advance. Even if not on sale. - that way I can get the best colors, size. Especially if it's new...good example is the purple elmers glue..
Prepare at night
Plan everything ahead!
