I'll never forget how my mom was there for me when I told my mom about my miscarriage. She didn't know I was pregnant at the time and I had to tell her that I was and that I lost the baby. It was so hard, but she was my rock during that difficult time. She got me through that very sad time in my life.

My mom is no longer her with me but when growing up she showed unconditional love. My mother was born with polio and I never seen her out of a hospital bed. She raised me and my brother pretty much by her self. We never went out. She sacrificed alot to make sure we were took en care of.

My mother has always told me, and more importantly showed me, that no matter what, family is always first and the most important thing in life. Some of them are given family and others are chosen. You love them equally. We lost my father, my mother's soul mate, her partner of 36 years, her high school sweetheart, and husband of 34 years, in January. We have been shown and truly understand that family is not just those you're born to or share genetics and marital ties with, but those you pick up throughout life. I love you, Mom. Thank you for everything. This is family.

My mom is special to me because, we have come a long way together and even though we live in different states, we have got closer over the years. We have not see each other in three years, but we tell each other good night and I love you every night on the phone. My mom has taught me how to teach my kids right from wrong and to have good manners, things that I always thought she was mean for. Now that I'm a mother I see myself raising my kids just like she did me and my brothers. I can't wait till I get enough to go home and see my mom, and spend time for her.

My mother passed away from cancer 9 years ago and although I was very young, I still remember her perfectly. One thing my mother always told us is that family comes first. She raised 4 kids by herself and sometimes she wouldnt pay her car payment just to take us out. The thing I loved most about my mother is that she was always smiling and always looked at the glass as half full. Whenever a problem arose she would always say "its just another bump in the road." Even on the day she told us she was dying she insisted everything would be okay. My mother always had a positive outlook on life and always kept her head held high. Happy mothers day mom and rest in peace.

My mother is no longer with us. When we were growing up us kids would tell her we had the meanest mother in the world because she would make up eat a healthy breakfast when other kids got to eat candy for breakfast had to know where we were at all times, be in bed by 9:00 for school the next day, she always said telling the truth you will get in less trouble then if you lie, She always made the dates come to the door and drill them with 20 questions and time of return, No dating tell age 16, We also had to work, wash dishes, make beds, mow lawn and wash clothes, we all thought she was tough but she actually taught us some very valuable lessons on life.

My mother was a very tender sweet lady. She always taught me to respect myself and others and that we are all human. No one of us is better than the other. We all will have to give account for our actions toward each other.

Your children will be your greatest blessing and your greatest curse. My mother always said, "I love you more than anything in the world!" But most importantly, she truly meant it. Wish I could still celebrate Mother's Day with her.

I grew up, holding my mother's hand. It warmed me, gave me strength and confirmed me of everything that I was not so sure about. I remember that, once, I lost my mom's hand, due to the incredible crowd, shopping around in an open market, on a Saturday afternoon. I was so lost and fell in despair, so I cried and cried. Now I'm an adult and a mom myself. I no longer hold my mom's hand, but the deep need of my mom's warmth and love remains the same. Whenever I feel exhausted either for life or work, I'd call 'mom' before falling into sleep. The next morning, I just wake up and fully recover from yesterday's stress. A friend once said 'No matter what life throws at you, it never gives you a problem you cannot solve.' I suppose, as far as you believe in you and this life that we have, you'll always succeed and find your happiness. And my mom will be always there to confirm and reconfirm me with her love - a mother's love.
