Mothers really do know best!

Did you inherit some of her superhero qualities? Was there a time when her advice (either hilarious, practical or wise) made a lasting impact?

My mom moved across the corner from me years ago & I love it! I get to pick stuff from her garden, my kids go over there all the time, we get to eat dinner together a lot.

My mom is amazing, she has gotten through my dads death that was very unexpected. She teaches low income families how to save money an get them back on there feet and always wears her heart on her sleeve.

My mom is a very strong woman. She has been through a lot in her life, and she's still going. She's always got a great sense of humor too even when things are rough.

Mami has taught me so MANY invaluable lessons: if you humble yourself, you'll be exalted; you should reach out to others and serve in whatever ways you can. But most importantly, her greatest lesson to me is her LOVE. That alone has shown me what truly matters. :)

My mom raised me and my sister on her own (my dad left when I was 12) so I've always admired her strength and ability to do whatever needs to be done. I like to think I got at least some of that strength!

"You are no better than anybody...but you're just as good as anybody walking this earth." My mom triumphed over several health issues that plagued her a good part of her life. Through it all, she never complained, never asked "why me" always looked forward to the day when "she would get her energy back". She taught me how to love unconditionally. A woman of strength and grace. I am so proud to be her daughter and live my life honoring her.

My mom is special because she has endured so much pain growing up but still managed to love us fully. She is the sweetest mom.

sadly, my mother cannot be celebrated on this day due to her bad decisions. However, I have four gorgeous daughters who have become AMAZING mothers and they are raising their babies with grace, style, wisdom, patience, love and most importantly laughter. I am so proud that they are doing such a great job and have given me the never ending love of five amazing grandbabies.

In high school my mom told me, "They may be nerds now, but the smart ones make the best providers and partners." After a series of relationships with pretentious, self-absorbed men, I finally understand what she meant. I love you mom!

My mother has been gone for a little over a year now. Two pieces of advice she gave me that I did NOT listen to and now wish I had were: Make sure you get a good education so you're not dependent on anyone else. It's just as easy to love a rich man or a poor one! I've wished so many times I had taken heed, years of financial struggling while married to an alcoholic, which also made it impossible for me to leave my child home and go to school. (This was in the old days, when there was no internet or online schools.)
