For me the government shutdown was definitely the most interesting, and intriguing, news of 2013 for sure! It affected our country in yet another horrible way, I am so relieved to hear a deal was finally reached to avoid it from happening again next month!

While I would not call the the Boston marathon bombing interesting, tragic I'd say, but the round-the-clock news on following/finding the suspect(s) was riveting, couldn't stop watching and hoping for capture.
