I'm a bit saddened to see that Miley Cyrus 'twerking' is included on the most important things happening in 2013??? Personally I have a hard time choosing the most interesting; the Pope resigning, the Ohio women being found after 10 years, the media coverage of Trayvon's story, and the complete debacle of Obamacare... all interesting in different ways!

I think the most interesting thing that happened in 2013 was when Michelle Knight, Gina DeJeus, and Amanda Berry were freed from their captor Ariel Castro. These girls should all be remembered for their bravery and strength. We can all learn a lot from them.

I find it amazing that "Miley Cyrus twerks at the MTV Music Awards" makes the list as newsworthy. I don't see anything wrong with Miley exploring her "creativity" at her young age... She's almost entitled to look/act foolish or silly. Its like a right of passage and I can't even hate on her at all. There were so many big events in 2013, this should not be one of them, but hey, to each its own: This was far more fascinating: Amanda Berry breaks free from the home where she and 2 others were held captive for 10 years!

The Pope resigning and a new one being elected. The new Pope is definitely showing a change in the times, for the better!

The Boston Marathon Bombing, shows how a horrible crime can bring out the good in so many people. It shows the American spirit can not be broken!
