Next, you give LucyPhone the number to call you back at when an operator is ready to speak with you. When you are calling a company’s customer service line, you press ** as soon as you are put on hold, hang up and let LucyPhone do the waiting. You will hear your phone ring when you are no longer on hold. Imagine all the important stuff you can get done when you aren’t worrying about being on hold. well i get annoyed yes, but then i find something to do while i wait and put my phone on speaker so i know when the person finally picks up to help me.

I think this is a great idea! It will be interesting to see if they make this a "membership fee" service after a period of time.

I do what MadHatter does, I put the speaker on, put the phone down, and do something else while I'm waiting. The Lucy Phone service sounds nice if it;s free.

With so many business opting for automated answering it seems as though the wait time and unlimited computer prompted questions are endless. I've found that when phoning businesses that have the automated answering systems that ask multiple questions before connecting you with customer service representatives all you need to do is press 00000 after each question and you will promptly be forwarded to a customer service rep. This will not eliminate your wait time for a rep. to answer the phone but it certainly puts you in touch with a human much faster. It does work; I do it all the time.

this is a great idea & I am sooo excited to test it out. I don't have too many talk time minutes included in my cell phone plan so not having to waste them while I'm holding works for me! On top of that, it is so frustrating when I actually do get a live person on the phone and then end up getting disconnected or get hung up on. Fun!
