Mitch Chaitin is a gay stay-at-home dad raising his adopted-at-birth 11 year-old son in New York City. Mitch blogs about their life at Gay NYC Dad. He also writes about the city's school system, shares his adoption story and does daily product reviews and giveaways.$PullQuote$

Mitch never ceases to stop amazing us with his passion for blogging and all his (almost) daily photographs taken with celebrities (everyone from Tina Fey to Hugh Jackman). He's also a genuinely lovely guy with a zest for life.

We caught up with him to find out more about his life and here is what we found out, in his own words.

I live in…. Manhattan.

My niche is… Parents across America.

I started blogging.....4 1/2 years ago.

I write when….. All the time. I do not like to have a day without a blog post. I'm competitive when it comes to traffic, posting daily helps my numbers stay even, and my readers engaged daily.

How has blogging changed my life: Firstly, I have met the most wonderful moms and dads that America has to offer. The nicest, most supportive group of people, and thanks to Facebook I can stay in "real" touch with so many of them! Secondly, I have received amazing opportunities for my family, from an all expense paid tip to Universal, to an insiders view of Disey, to local movie previews. My spouse and son have been able to enjoy some wonderful adventures with me, it has enhanced our family life!

A brand I have loved working with: Hellmann's. Great events and great opportunities. Oh yeah, and one of my favorite products!

How I see the future of blogging/social media? Expanding. Brands have got to see that real people sharing real experiences are more believeable than celebrities saying they love M & M's.

Where I work: At a desk in my bedroom.

I am connected…. Thanks to 4G, all the time. Although, I do not go to my electronics when I am not at home, unless I am bored. It is not an addiction, and I can stop anytime!

When I’m stressed, I….. Overindulge in anything I can.

My favorite gadget is…. Anything with an "i"!

My favorite travel destination is…. Pre-kid: Italy. Post kid: the major cities of North America.

My favorite clothing brand is… Armani.

I do all my shopping….In store. I am very tactile!

My favorite TV shows: Anything Science Fiction and Supernatural. And Doctor Who.

My favorite movie: Gone With the Wind

Coffee or tea: Coffee, iced, first thing in the morning.

I love….Vacations with my family. While we may have the occasional tiff, we almost always have great adventures and make wonderful memories, see them all on the blog!

I dream about….Money.

What else I do: Work out and eat.

Causes I 've worked with and made a difference via blogging about: I started the blog to educate people about a family where the child has two same sex parents. The response has been wonderful. I also wanted to share our adoption story as it was not horrific like you usually read about, I wanted to help folks "Just Do It!"
