My children love going shopping for new clothes, shoes and school supplies. My daughter also colors her hair.

A week or so before school starts we have a "Going Back to School" celebration for the kids. The family, (Grandma and Grandpa and aunt and uncle) is invited and we give the kids gifts for the new school year. We wish them well with gifts include paper, cool pens and pencils, snacks and juice boxes and a few new pieces of clothing and shoes that they wear on the first day of school. Then we have cupcakes and make much-to-do with good wishes for a good year. It is a happy time for everyone.

I always have a calendar count down til the 1st day of school. A couple days before they start, we pick out their 1st day out f I ts, then we go shopping and buy them stuff for their 1st day lunch. Then we usually make a card or gift for teacher. This year we made a survival kit! The kids get so excited.

My kid's are excited to see their friends and make new ones. They are excited to be able to see them everyday and play with them. My son likes school too and he is excited to learn more.
