One of my favorite memories of college, was receiving care packages that my family would send. It was such a treat to go to my mailbox and a package was waiting for me! My aunt would send me homemade cookies, books and other treats.

One of the mothers at my work is always making care packages for her son. While my daughter doesn't go to college for another year I plan to do these as well.

I work at a University and for a few months I helped out in the dorm mailroom. Halloween and Valentine's Day are by far the 2 holidays where many students receive packages. Also it is a great idea to send a final exam care package. This could include candy, a stress ball, a magazine for a study break, and even something as simple as pens and pencils. I am sure anything is appreciated.

I am a college student and I know that many college students would love to receive a box from home full of goodies and products that their tight budget might not be able to afford.
